Dan has worked in the mining and construction industry for 38 years, starting with a formal education at a technical college for diesel and heavy equipment mechanics. Dan served ten years with a major equipment distributor as field service engineer and service manager. This distributor represented 22 different product lines, and Dan received extensive factory training from many manufactures during this time.
In 1982, Dan used this experience to co-found a global mining and construction equipment business in Minnesota, and served as the vice president for 20 years. Dan moved to Chile in 2002 and started a similar company there with two other partners, trading on a global basis. After seven years, Dan returned to Minnesota and opened Motter Equipment Inc.
His corporate experience in the global mining and construction industries include experience in nearly every facet of the business. Dan has traveled worldwide in his career and been involved with every type of mining and construction operation. His expansive and diverse experience and knowledge in the market are great assets in helping with all of your equipment and component requirements.
